Pula, Croatia
Pula is the largest city in Istria, Croatia.
Pula is located in the south of the Istrian peninsula, and most of all known for its historic buildings that are significant today as they was significant long time ago.
The largest and the most significant monument in Pula, also the largest and best preserved monument of ancient architecture in Croatia is the amphitheater or well known as the Pula Arena.
Pula Arena still preserves the history of the II. century, when within the arena was held gladiator fights.
According to the size, Pula Arena takes up 6th place among Roman amphitheaters in the world, and is the only one in the world with all three Roman architectural lines entirely preserved.
